A blue carpet was rolled out for a cavalcade of stars last night for Stan’s Summer Originals at the Sydney Opera House.
Amongst the big names were Jacki Weaver, Joanne Froggatt, Essie Davis, Ryan Corr, Ewen Leslie, Emma Booth, David Lyons, Harriet Dyer, John Waters, Nicole Chamoun, Matt Day and Matt Okine.
Stan ambassador Beau Ryan hosted proceedings which showcased four original scripted titles to screen across December and January. In attendance were CEO Mike Sneesby, Chief Content Officer Nick Forward, NSW Minister for the Arts Don Harwin, local producers & creatives, media and several Nine Network staff.
Guests were treated to four extended trailers and introductions from Essie Davis, Joanne Froggatt, Ewen Leslie & Emma Booth and Matt Okine.
Sydney turned on wild, eerie weather which appeared to resemble that in futuristic climate thriller The Commons (great stunt, guys!).
The Other Guy (13 December)
The Commons (Christmas Day)
The Gloaming (New Year’s Day)
True History of the Kelly Gang (Australia Day).
Bloom is also currently filming in Victoria.

Congratulations to Stan for trying to show some vision for its future, when you look at the TV drama output from smaller countries like Norway, Sweden, Iceland, or South America you would think that Australia has a lot to offer a growing global streaming market.
