Nine has released some date to indicate that around 40% of the total Love Island audience is watching the show via 9Now -either streaming Live or via catch-up.
Last Sunday’s episode on 9GO! saw 54.4% of the episode’s total viewing audience screen the show on 9Now.
The biggest Overnight audience in linear viewing was episode 1 with 587,000 metro + regional viewers.
Another 72,000 watched it Timeshifted within 7 days. Another 35,000 watched it Live on 9Now while an impressive 285,000 watched it in catch-up via 9Now. That’s a total of 979,000 national viewers.
Nine indicates total viewing is up 58% on 2018, when the series screened on 9GO!
Two-thirds of the audience is female aged 18 – 39.

The Bachelorette is the same – not a breakout hit on overnight measures, but certainly is when you include overnight numbers with BVOD, 7-day Tenplay figures, and regional audience. Including those, it’s rating better than this year’s Survivor.
Hardly same breath though… Bachelorette’s overnight numbers would be same as Love Islands total!
