Reg Watson restored to Neighbours credits
UK soapie fans succeed with a #GiveRegACred campaign.

Reg Watson’s name has been restored to international credits for Neighbours, following his death last month.
His name has remained on the longer Friday closing credits in Australia, but the version shown on Channel 5 in the UK, as well as other international territories, had his name removed.
Following his death on October 8th viewers launched a campaign to #GiveRegACred.

Australian drama rarely had “created-by” credits before 2005 because it was an industry run by non-writing-producers and writers were treated like the help. Since then, we’ve slowly moved towards the US model of shows being led by creatives. It’s a shame that Reg won’t be able to enjoy his much-deserved and shamefully overlooked “created-by” credit.
