Australian Ninja Warrior is on the move again, set for a new filming location in Melbourne.
“It’s returning to Melbourne but not sitting under the West Gate Bridge, this time,” Programming Director Hamish Turner tells TV Tonight.
“It will be a new site, filming very shortly. You probably want to be filming in Melbourne in summer, or at the very least the start of autumn. And for us to get to air it will begin very shortly.
“There are some fantastic new obstacles this year that will change the game again.”
18 months ago, TV Tonight speculated the Melbourne Showgrounds in Ascot Vale might become home for the show, given Endemol Shine has filmed MasterChef, Lego Masters and Family Food Fight on site. But Season 3 landed at Spotswood, west of the CBD.
The tip may have been ahead of its time…
“I think if you were putting money on that you’d get a little bit of profit,” Turner hinted.

Audience ticket website has the ”audience meeting point” as somewhere in Williamstown. Whether this is the final location or not is unclear.
I think you will find that was for last season.
Thanks David. Silly me.
Hopefully ANW films at the Melbourne Showgrounds! I believe the Showgrounds would be the perfect location!
