Renee Bargh, Darren McMullen to host The Voice.

Two hosts for next Nine talent series, to film in new Moorebank studios in Western Sydney.

Nine yesterday announced a duo of Darren McMullen and Renee Bargh as co-hosts for The Voice in 2020.

McMullen hosted the first four seasons of The Voice along with The Voice Kids, House Husbands and SeaChange, all for Nine. Aussie-born Renee Bargh has co-hosted Extra in the US since 2010. She is also a former host of Channel [V] Australia.

“I’ve hosted a lot of fun shows around the globe since leaving but nothing compares to the buzz you get from walking out onto The Voice stage”, said McMullen. “The seasons that I hosted were the most fun I’ve ever had in television, and I can’t wait to pick up the reigns again to front the biggest show in Australia.”

“It’s an absolute dream come true to be heading home to Australia and joining The Voice family,” said Bargh. “When it comes to entertainment television, it doesn’t get much bigger or more dynamic than The Voice. I’ve always been a huge fan of the show and am looking forward to meeting the next wave of incredibly talented Aussie artists”.

Kelly Rowland, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, and Boy George all return in 2020 at a new studio in Moorebank, Western Sydney.

David Mott, CEO of ITV Studios Australia told TV Tonight, “We are very excited at our new home of The Voice. The studio which we have converted from a warehouse is now a brilliant new Sydney working studio that has everything for a variety of tv and film productions. I am enormously proud of my ITV team and what they have achieved in a matter of a few months.”

  1. Dont see why Renee Bargh cant host it herself. Sorry Darren but been there done that.. would of been a nice change of pace for a network to put forward new talent (to FTA audience) in a proven franchise

  2. 9 trying to emulate the Kruger / McMullen era… With McMullen and another blonde! She’s younger though, that’ll make a difference.
Not to be more cynical but check out his comments from when he left The Voice and joined Big Music Quiz on 7. Wonder if he still feels the same?
