Very sad. Enjoyed his roles, Heart Beat especially. Rest in Peace Derek.
TV does tend to suspend ones memories in time and Derek Fowlds was never 82 years old in my memory.
As well as his role in Yes Minister Derek was an important stalwart of British television and his memory will live on in the classic shows he has appeared in.
Respect….I enjoyed all his work….?
The last of a great trio of performers. YM and YPM remain incredibly watchable.
RIP Derek Fowlds. He was a fine actor.
