US actress Ja’Net DuBois, best known for Good Times, has died, aged 74.
Her family confirmed she died unexpectedly in her sleep at her home in California on Tuesday.
DuBois played Willona Woods, the stylish neighbour to the Evans family on Good Times from 1974 to 1979.
Her 1970-72 role on the soap opera Love of Life made her the first African American woman who was a regular cast member on a daytime serial.
DuBois was also known for her legendary voice. She composed and sang Movin’ On Up, the theme song for The Jeffersons.
Her many other credits included Roots, Kojak, The Love Boat, Beverly Hills 90210, ER, Touched by an Angel, A Different World, Sister Sister, Home Improvement, Crossing Jordan, Cold Case, Everybody Loves Raymond and The PJs.

Yes I remember her on Good Times, she was funny. She was also a singer and songwriter.
She was also a two time emmy winner for her work on the PJS
