Health updates: Shannen Doherty, Danny Bonaduce.

Two US actors update fans via social media on their private health battles.

Two much-loved US actors have given updates on their private health battles.

Former Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed star Shannen Doherty, who has been battling breast cancer, posted a video revealing the cancer has unfortunately spread to her brain, and she’s been undergoing treatments since January.

“My fear is obvious,” Doherty wrote on Instagram. “I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life. I am fortunate as I have great doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and the amazing techs at Cedar Sinai. But that fear…. The turmoil….. the timing of it all…. This is what cancer can look like.”

Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, but she went into remission in 2017 following a single mastectomy and chemotherapy in 2016. In 2020 she announced that her cancer had returned as Stage 4.

Meanwhile former Partridge Family star Danny Bonaduce has given a health update following his successful brain surgery Monday.

The 63-year-old tweeted in response to a TMZ article about his road to recovery.

Bonaduce’s wife, Amy Railsback, also updated fans saying, “It’s been a long day but I just wanted to let you guys know that Danny’s surgery went according to plan and he’s doing well.”.

Bonaduce revealed in April 2022 that he had a mystery illness, later telling Good Morning America, “I couldn’t walk at all. (My wife) looked really nervous, and she said, ‘You’re not saying words, you’re not speaking English,’ which, of course, is preposterous to me.”

Three months ago, he was finally diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a neurological disorder “caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles (cavities) deep within the brain … putting harmful pressure on the brain’s tissues,” according to the US National Institutes of Health.
