Ninja Warrior media event cancelled

A media event for Australian Ninja Warrior, due to be held next week, is the latest cancellation due to COVID-19 precautions.

Nine had invited media to VIP seats at a semi-final and meet hosts & contestants at Melbourne Showgrounds next Tuesday. They were also due to spruik Q2 network highlights. Previous events (pictured) have included Nine exec and producer speeches.

But filming, which gets underway today, is without an audience -save for a small band of friends and family.

Last Friday 10 had also invited media to an Australian Grand Prix corporate marquee. That was also cancelled as soon as the event itself went down the gurgler.

Understandably, these are sensible decisions in extraordinary times…
