Ratings: 10 takes the demos as MasterChef stays above the magic million for every episode.

A bumper season launch for MasterChef Australia has delivered 10 its strongest week in two years.

MasterChef drew up to 1.23m viewers -its best launch since 2015- with every episode remaining above the magic million.

It was their first week ahead of ABC this year. 10 even won the demos for the week.

Seven managed to lead in primary channels but it was Nine that again claimed network share, despite not delivering any big reality content.

Nine won Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and tied with ABC for Saturday. 10 won Monday and Thursday. Seven won Tuesday. 10 beat Nine on Tuesday and Seven on Wednesday. ABC also beat 10 on Sunday and Saturday. Phew!

Nine won Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Seven still reigned in Adelaide & Perth.

Best brands last week were:

Nine: Nine News (Sun: 1.14m), 60 Minutes (817,000), A Current Affair (755,000) and Hot Seat (582,000).

Seven: Seven News (1.29m), The Chase (682,000), Home and Away (679,000) and House Rules (Sun: 630,000).

10: MasterChef Australia (Launch: 1.23m), Gogglebox (874,000), The Project (7pm: 643,000) and 10 News First (507,000).

SBS: Great Canadian Railway Journeys (332,000), Britain’s Cathedrals with Tony Robinson (301,000), Secrets of the Tower of London (299,000) and The Pyramids: Solving the Mystery (235,000).
