Airdate: The Dog House

UK series on adopting homeless dogs to screen on 10.

UK observational series The Dog House, which centres around adopting homeless pets, is coming to 10 on Saturday nights.

No grooming contests or eliminations in sight….

Set inside a British dog rescue centre, well-known for its commitment to finding the perfect match for homeless pooches and potential new owners, The Dog House bears witness to the joy of the human and dog dating experience.

Throughout the series, we meet a diverse group of people with their own touching backstories, looking to transform their lives by adopting a four-legged friend.

You’ll be heartbroken by tails of abandonment and overjoyed by the bonds formed between these once timid pooches and their new furr-ever families.

There’ll be boops, snoots and floofs; pupperinos and good boi’s. But above all, a happy ending and much needed love for these doggos.

So, if you’ve been feeling a little ruff in iso, and looking for a new leash on life, look no further than The Dog House.

7:30pm Saturday May 16 on 10.

  1. Many of the animal shelter programs from the UK were focused on the famous Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, formerly known as Battersea Dogs Home, with a lot of the fame attributed to the television productions. The Dog House seems to be about Wood Green animal shelter that is based in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire in England which I didn’t know about until now.

    1. … except that Pooch (im)Perfect was about the dog groomers, not the dogs – that, together with being an ill-thought-through “star-vehicle” is probably why it failed so dismally …
