Fremantle and Seven are starting the hunt for an 11th season -even before the 10th season has hit screens.
“Farmer Wants a Wife is searching for single farmers from all backgrounds who are ready to find their soulmate,” a casting notice announces. “This is not only Australia’s original love show, it’s also the best – by a country mile.”
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and available for filming from October – December plus early in 2021.
You must agree to the production crew and other contestants living on your farm for the length of the shoot. You must be single and genuinely looking for love.
A new season is expected in coming weeks, to follow Big Brother.

I take your point – you need to acknowledge Jenny Blake in 2008.
The new application allows applicants to identify as male / female / other. Last season on Nine had a female farmer.
Why would Seven want to look for a second season but the first season hasn’t started. 😂
I guess planning ahead / confidence. FYI I’ve posted casting calls before for shows that don’t always proceed, that’s just the nature of television sometimes.
Don’t count your chickens before they’ve hatched Mr Warburton.
A think a re-brand would be more reflective of the times – ‘Farmer Wants a Partner’.
Be great if Fremantle and Seven considered including an LGBTIQ+ and/or Female Farmer searching for love. Would be a more holistic and authentic representation of Australian Farmers.
