Apple TV+ has released a first look at Foundation, a new sci-fi series based on the Isaac Asimov novel series of the same name.
Showrunner and executive producer David S. Goyer unveils a glimpse into the making of the sprawling saga, which chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.
The series stars Jared Harris (Chernobyl) as Hari Seldon plus Lee Pace as Brother Day; Lou Llobell as Gaal; Leah Harvey as Salvor; Laura Birn as Demerzel; Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk; and Cassian Bilton as play Brother Dawn.
Foundation is executive produced by Robyn Asimov, David S. Goyer, Josh Friedman, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross. The series is produced for Apple by Skydance Television.
An airdate is yet to be announced.

These type of sci-fi shows are an instant attraction for me. As a non reader of the Foundation books I shall reserve my opinion until it’s released, but on first impression production looks expensive and state of the art.
Same for me. It looks to be both a quality production and a bold story, which is exactly what I look for.
A lot to live up to. Hopefully with Robyn A there it will stay true (although some of the character names are new to me and I know this series of books inside out and back to front).
