Renewed: Lucifer given one last season

Yep. It's a “FINAL final" season announced by Netflix.

Despite previously announcing a final fifth season, Lucifer is now getting a final sixth season on Netflix.

This follows the axe swinging after three seasons at FOX.

Netflix has cheekily confirmed a “FINAL final” season when making the announcement, but no episode count is confirmed.

Lucifer centres on Tom Ellis as the titular fallen angel and the Lord of Hell, who works with the LAPD to take down Earth’s criminals. The series also stars Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez, and Rachael Harris.

Season 5 comprises 16 episodes, with the first eight being released on August 21.

  1. Lucifer is one of those shows that can keep on keeping on. To my mind it looks like Jerry Bruckheimer has done this deal, six seasons would suit his business style and besides Netflix’s cupboard is bare of new DC and Marvel super hero series. I’m sure Netflix would love to revive that part of their entertainment empire.
