TV faces step onto The Voice stage

Jonathan Welch and Mark Furze both succeed at Blind Auditions.

Two television faces tried their luck on The Voice last night, neither of whom were former talent show contestants.

Jonathan Welch, choirmaster on The Choir of Hard Knocks, sang This is the Moment from Jekyll & Hyde getting chair turns from Boy George & Delta Goodrem,

The Choir of Hard Knocks screened on ABC in 2007 to such success the choir kicked on with public performances for years to come.

“I finished as the Artistic Director of The Choir of Hard Knocks last year and I wanted a big challenge,” he said.

In the end he chose Boy George as his Coach.

Also competing was former Home & Away star Mark Furze. He appeared as Ric Dalby on the Seven soap from 2004 – 2008.

Performing Blow he secured a 4 chair turn.

Despite being best mates with Guy Sebastian, in the end he chose Kelly Rowland.

  1. You forgot to also mention Ricky Muscat, who was on Australian Idol (season 4, 2006), the season Damien Leith won ( & Jessica Mauboy came second).
