Jock, Melissa, Andy back to judge on Junior MasterChef

Exclusive: 10 sticks with popular new judges for revived kid's cook-off.

EXCLUSIVE: MasterChef Australia judges Jock Zonfrillo, Melissa Leong and Andy Allen are coming back, as the official judges for Junior MasterChef.

A 10 spokesperson confirmed the three to TV Tonight.

The judges, who have all been praised in their 2020 roles, have been busily filming episodes at the MasterChef kitchen at Melbourne Showgrounds.

By the end of filming the main series, each was very familiar with COVID-19 precautions required, making them a logical choice to continue in the host roles.

10 announced the series for late 2020 after production shutdowns meant delays for other network programming.

Junior MasterChef was first on screen in 2010 with judges Matt Preston, George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Anna Gare, won by 12 year old Isabella Bliss.

The first peek at the new series will screen on air tonight during the Grand Final.

  1. It should say, “Junior MasterChef was last on screen in 2011 with judges Matt Moran, George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Anna Gare, won by 11-year-old Greta Yaxley.”

  2. Great scoop. So they’re playing it safe, good decision, as you said they kept Gary Matt and George from the main series for the last Junior MasterChef (which was actually last on in 2011, it had two seasons, the first much more successful than the second in 10’s 2010 stratospheric ratings year).
