Netflix has renewed its young adult drama Outer Banks for a second season.
The mystery follows a group of local teens (the “Pogues”) in the Outer Banks of North Carolina who are caught up in a hidden treasure saga.
It stars Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, Deion Smith, and Charles Esten.
All will reprise their roles in the series, which premiered on April 15.

I got to episode 3 and gave it a miss. Maybe I’ll finish some time up the track.
This is a story of everyday life in the USA, where bonkers is perfectly normal
I checked out early in the series when the main character was being chased by baddies brandishing guns throughout the town. At no time did the kid yell for help. Meanwhile in the background a shopkeeper payed no attention and kept sweeping the footpath. That was enough for me and offered Netflix the thumbs down.
I thoroughly enjoyed it all whilst being completely perplexed as to why… especially as it ramped up the bonkers factor at the end of the season…
