Television Critics Association Awards 2020: nominees

Aussie-created show Holey Moley and actress Cate Blanchett were amongst nominees in the Television Critics Association Awards 2020 announced this week.

Topping the list are Watchmen and Unbelievable, at 4 nominations each with other notable series then Better Call Saul, Mrs. America and Schitt’s Creek.

“This was an incredible year for television, offering a variety of groundbreaking new series with fresh perspectives and renewed vigour for some veteran favourites,” said TCA president Sarah Rodman. “Although we sadly will not have the opportunity to gather to honour these creative achievements in person, we look forward to sharing our selections for the season’s top programs when the winners are unveiled later this summer.”

  1. Loved these nominations except for What we do in the shadow is as funny as cardboard.
Love the double nominations for Better Things and insecure
Were here is so so good and nomination well deserve.

  2. The ladies are killing it. 10 out of 13 are women in the comedy and drama acting categories.

And good to see Zoey’s Playlist acknowledged too.

These nominations are all awesome. It’s like they came and asked me what I thought. Cos these noms are pretty damn close to what I would have said…
