10 confirms I’m A Celebrity for 2021

"We are working on logistics", says 10 as it denies newspaper reports.

Never mind the Brits… 10 has confirmed I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is proceeding for 2021.

Reports on the weekend suggested the reality show may be the latest to fall victim to COVID-19 and travel restrictions, after the ITV original cancelled plans to film in Australia.

But a Network 10 spokesperson tells TV Tonight,I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will certainly air in early 2021 as planned. We are working on logistics and look forward to bringing the series to screens this summer.”

Current border restrictions, including quarantine, are problematic but the show has some time up its sleeve, not regrouping until December.

It isn’t clear if the series will shoot in Australia at the UK’s site in Murwillambah NSW, on Kangaroo Island SA or elsewhere.

  1. Yes, the articles felt like clickbait…10 have always been adamant that they’ll do everything they can to get I’m A Celebrity up next year, no matter where it is filmed. I’m excited to see who joins!

  2. I wonder if we’ll see a “Masked Signer” effect for the next season – some bigger names that have nothing else booked for the start of the year?

  3. Thank goodness 10 have kept Celebrity going. I love it. And I love Paying Attention. These are the only free to air shows I watch religiously. Wentworth on Foxtel is the other. But I will watch Big Brother next year. I liked the new format & I really liked that Big Brother himself was the main host. I think 7 did a good job compared to 9.

  4. Great news. The only “reality” show on Australian TV that isn’t contrived, fake and edited within an inch of its life! The last few year’s of Celebrity have been so funny – can’t wait to see how they make it work in Oz – maybe actually in the Blue Mountains this time!
