Axed: Tosh.0 confirms final season

US comedy series Tosh.0 hosted by Daniel Tosh will end with its upcoming 12th season.

The news comes despite the fact that Comedy Central picked the show up for four more seasons in January.

Comedy Central, which also axed Drunk History, is reportedly moving towards an animation platform.

But there are reports ViacomCBS is looking to shop the series to other outlets.

“I look forward to doing an animated reboot of my show on MTV in 25 years,” Tosh said in a statement.

A final season is due in the US on September 15 having run for 11 years, with its finale on November 24.

Tosh.0 has screened in Australia on both Foxtel’s Comedy Channel and Fetch TV’s Comedy Central and was recently announced for the upcoming 10 Shake multichannel.
