Masked Singer outbreak now at 17 cases

Positive cases up by 1 after Docklands cluster, but there are less than 5 results now remaining.

Another test result involving The Masked Singer outbreak has been found, taking the total number to 17 cases.

TV Tonight understands there are less than 5 tests now awaiting a result.

289 tests have been conducted in relation to the show.

Host Osher Günsberg and judges Dannii Minogue, Dave Hughes, Jackie O and Urzila Carlson have all tested negative but along with all members of the production are nevertheless undergoing 14 days quarantine in accordance with Vic. Department of Health and Human Services directions.

10 has not confirmed if any of the masked celebrities have tested positive, nor contingency plans as yet on how a grand final can be staged.

A 10 spokesperson yesterday said, “The health and safety of the community, and our staff and production partners remains our number one priority. Network 10 is providing all crew with all the support and assistance possible.  

“We would like to thank the Victorian Government and the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services for their continued support and assistance during this time.   

“We continue to work closely with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.”

At this stage production on The Bachelorette remains unaffected.

On Monday Günsberg said he expected to undergo a further 14 days of quarantine when he returns to NSW.

“No, there’s nobody else in my place. But we have figured out ways to make The Bachelorette,” he said.

  1. Ten really should cut back TMS to just once a week. Last year’s finale had all that had been revealed return singing a group song together. Hopefully all affected by the nasty virus will recover .
    Is Osher’s comment meant to say “we have” twice?

    1. To be honest I did think they got a little too close sometimes especially as ‘audience’ members, but perhaps just use a couple of dancers in the finale?
