NCIS, NCIS: LA to resume filming.

US procedurals are set to resume filming in early September with COVID-safe protocols.

NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles have been assigned dates to start production on their upcoming seasons under strict COVID-19 protocols.

NCIS is set for September 9th and September 3 for NCIS: LA. Both series, produced by CBS TV Studios, film in Los Angeles.

However both dates are also tentative and could shift, given the Californian case numbers are currently 603,000, with up to 12,500 new daily cases. There have been nearly 11,000 deaths.

Deadline also reports Bull, which films in New York, and Magnum P.I., which shoots in Hawaii, have been given a green light to start production but have not received tentative start dates as yet.

Hopefully if the four dramas are able to start filming their new seasons in early-to-mid September, they could appear in Australia before the end of the 2020 ratings season.

All shows air in Australia on 10 except Magnum P.I. which premieres on Foxtel.

  1. I wouldn’t expect COV19 to be necessary part of all tv shows moving forward. We watch TV to escape from reality. I did read that the first episode of NCIS New Orleans will be dealing with it.
