Airdate: The Sunday Footy Show: My Room Telethon 2020

Children's cancer charity fundraiser moves to Grand Final Eve on Nine.

2020 haas been a most unusual year, especially for Melbourne, but GTV9 is proceeding with its annual My Room Telethon in October.

The Sunday Footy Show will join forces with My Room Children’s Cancer Charity for a Grand Final Eve telethon.

Rebecca Maddern and Shane Crawford will join the Sunday Footy Show team – Tony Jones, Billy Brownless, Nathan Brown, Matthew Lloyd, Damian Barrett and Kane Cornes –  to raise funds for My Room as they look back on an incredible year in football history and preview the 2020 Grand Final.

The telethon will be a night full of their trademark laughs and banter – with great insight of course – as they recap the season and present Grand Final editions of all your favourite segments, like What Caught My Eye, Billy’s List and Browny’s Quiz.

Rebecca Maddern and Shane Crawford will join in the Grand Final Eve spectacular as they share extraordinary stories from brave kids and their families from Monash Children’s Hospital and pay tribute to the amazing volunteers behind My Room, who are dedicated to raising funds to achieve a 100 per cent cure rate for childhood cancers.

Some of Australia’s biggest names in television, sport and entertainment will be on hand both in the studio and via our Virtual Phone Room, helping to drive donations from generous individuals and business supporters throughout the telethon.

Once again, Simonds Homes and Satterley have donated a house and land package to go under the hammer in the “2020 Home for a Cure” auction for My Room.

Channel 9 has been a proud supporter of My Room for 14 years, providing a platform for the charity to make a difference to the lives of children with cancer and their families. Over the past four years alone, Channel 9 has raised more than $4.9 million for My Room through the annual My Room Telethon.

7.30pm Friday, October 23 on Nine.
