Hot Tip: The Block 2021 in Hampton?

Nine renovation series looks set for another bayside suburb in 2021.

TV Tonight hears whispers that The Block is headed to the bayside suburb of Hampton in 2021.

Nine’s renovation series is so far only confirmed for a cul-de-sac location next year but Bronte Court is rumoured as the likely destination.

The suburban court last saw a house sold on the market in 2018 for $1.19m but at up to $1.59m in 2017.

At their recent 2021 Upfronts Nine stated, “The Block will return in 2021 for an astonishing 17th season.

“Come along for the ride as another set of buildings are transformed into someone’s great Australian dream.

“While we can’t say too much just yet, we can confirm that next year’s series will take place in the ultimate family-friendly setting of a picturesque suburban cul de sac.”

At 14km south of Melbourne’s CBD, Hampton is between the suburbs of Brighton and Sandringham. A Hampton location would also keep the renovation series in a bayside suburb. It is also within the City of Bayside which is the local council involved with the current series -very important for planning and filming permits.

Nine’s 16th season is currently winning its slot with details of an auction yet to be announced.

Nine is yet to announce its 2021 location.

  1. I live in Hampton and just had a walk to Bronte Crt with the wife.
It’s not obvious what houses would be knocked down or renovated in the street.
Some properties are modern and wouldn’t be changed. A couple of older houses are on very narrow blocks – unsuitable for the program.
