Bumped: The Masked Singer USA

10 moves on painfully low ratings show.

As predicted, 10 has moved on The Masked Singer USA, pushing the show back to a 9:30pm start from next Wednesday night.

This means Bull will screen from 8:30pm, which is a better move given it is fast-tracked from the US.

Masked Singer may be family-friendly but at a paltry 125,000 this week it did not justify the slot, even against State of Origin.

  1. So (fast tracked) season 5 of Bull airs at 8:30, followed by Masked Singer at 9:30, then (preciously unaired?) season 4 of Bull at 10:30. Is it crazy to a) have a 1 hour gap between episodes of Bull, and b) air season 5 before season 4 is finished?

      1. Ten started running S4 of Bull on the 8th January and finished it up months ago. They have been running repeats of S3 then S4 at two episodes a week since.

  2. The two issues I found were first, it was difficult to find each week as it kept changing nights and time. Though it did settle after a few weeks, by that point I just couldn’t be bothered with all the effort. Second, when a show like this, which relies on the mystery aspect, is shown over a week later after it airs in the US, its often spoilt by the time it’s shown here. Realistically it needed to be fast tracked.

      1. They’ed get less viewers because no one under 40 watches TV on Thursday nights anymore. That’s why they have put SVU and This Is US and SEAL Team on then.

    1. That’s *never…also, I wish they moved the premiere back to Thursdays so that viewers have more of a reason to watch as they are less likely to have the unmasked contestants spoiled.

    1. ViacomCBS should have moved their new content to Peach instead of curating another new channel. Peach is already a barren wasteland comprised mostly of repeat after repeat of old sitcoms. Plus, our market isn’t big enough for yet another digital channel for an ever-shrinking audience.

A dedicated music channel would have made the most sense for a third digital channel, not Peach 2.0 (or rather, what Peach should be, as the current Shake line-up is similar to what ELEVEN used to be in its early days).

      1. No, removing those shows is what has helped peach grown from 1.7% shares to 3%.
Admittedly that won’t last with the current line up but that’s for another day.
