Returning: Bull

Finally new episodes for legal drama with Michael Weatherly -and one big cast change.

Season 6 of Bull has been brought forward on 10, now kicking off next Wednesday night (originally Nov 3).

“Gone” debuted in the USA yesterday. The episode also explains the exit by Freddy Rodriguez as Benny.

As TV Line notes, the on-screen explanation comes four months after it was reported that Rodriguez would not be continuing with the series. Following an investigation into the departure of several staff writers after Season 5, showrunner Glenn Gordon Caron (who had served as showrunner since Season 2) and the show parted ways, and the TV veteran’s overall deal with CBS Studios ended.

CBS confirmed that Rodriguez also was exiting the show, following a workplace investigation (though the network declined to comment on the circumstances surrounding the actor’s departure).

8:30pm Wednesday on 10.

  1. So new Bull at @ 8.30, followed by 2 Bull repeats (sorry, “Special Encore Presentations”) at @ 9.30.
Re Freddy’s departure, I guess it was fortunate for Michael Weatherby that Bull is the centre-piece of the show as I’m sure he would have been gone after a female staff member made some allegations against the ‘star’. Counseling was ordered for Weatherby.
That was about the time Mr. Spielberg took his backing money and left – for good.
