Nine wins Tuesday with multiple slots

Ratings: Nine leads from 7pm. Addicted Australia second in its slot for SBS.

Nine had a comfortable win on Tuesday, leading their timeslots from 7pm, while a new SBS doco managed second in its slot.

The Block led in entertainment and topped the demos at 828,000 viewers.

That outranked 7:30 (597,000), SAS Australia (582,000), Outback Ringer (362,000), Ambulance Australia (248,000) and Great British Railway Journeys (215,000).

Later Australian Crime Stories led with 407,000 then Addicted Australia (239,000), Walkabout Wickets (179,000), movie: Pacific Rim (170,000) and NCIS: Los Angeles (148,000).

But in breakfast Sunrise was well ahead of Today, which trailed News Breakfast.

Nine network won Tuesday with 30.9% then Seven 27.0%, ABC 16.7%, 10 16.6% and SBS 8.7%.

Nine News was best for Nine at 907,000 / 883,000. A Current Affair led its slot at 715,000 then Hot Seat 479,000 / 311,000. West Gate Bridge Disaster: The Untold Stories was 229,000.

Seven News was #1 with 987,000 / 970,000 for Seven. The Chase (547,000 / 312,000) and Home & Away (540,000) followed.

ABC News drew 697,000 for ABC. The Drum was 170,000 and Searching for Superhuman was 126,000.

The Project pulled 487,000 / 293,000 for 10. 10 News First was 344,000 / 216,000.

On SBS it was SBS World News (152,000), Dateline (92,000), Mastermind (68,000) and The Feed (36,000).

Bluey‘s high was 382,000 on ABC KIDS.

  1. Now that Junior Masterchef has finished I’m back watching the SAS Australia. Really fascinating show and my god I laughed last night when Firass came in to rescue Candice with a picket and blue oven glove. The way the soldiers just looked at him as if to say that’s going to hurt us.

  2. There was a lot to like about Addicted Australia, but it was severely let down by the editing. The best word to describe it is lumpy. The rhythm and pacing was constantly off and the second half of the episode dragged to the point where it almost became boring, when it really shouldn’t have. A real shame considering the rest of the production (casting, cinematography, direction) was of such a high standard.
