It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been renewed for a whopping 4 more seasons.
This takes the series to its 18th season and officially surpassing The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet‘s record as the longest-running live-action scripted comedy in US TV history.
The comedy centres on the misguided dreams and blundered schemes of the gang at Paddy’s Pub: Mac (McElhenney), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Frank (Danny DeVito).
It screens in Australia on Seven and FOX Funny.

I’ve seen things on it that I’d never thought to see on FTA here-full marks.
Screens on Seven? When? I haven’t seen it on Seven for years. Not even at like Midnight Sunday or another graveyard shift like that.
Series 14 was on 7flix after midnight on tuesday nights from march to may this year, series 13 was april-june around midnight last year on 7flix.
Great show and also on Prime Video, seems they have the rights after it has aired as 14 Seasons are listed however no episodes in Season 14 listed. Should be noted though The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet had 39 episodes for a number of it’s seasons so 435 episodes over it’s 14 seasons compared to 154 for the 14 Seasons of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (still a good achievement though).
I remember when this showed was first released in Australia and I thought what a funny show but at the time it was never picked up by an australian network.
