Georgia Love departs 10 News First

Former Bachelorette and freelance reporter parts ways with 10.

Former Bachelorette star Georgia Love has parted with 10 News First as a reporter.

She recently broadcast on the Birdcage at the Melbourne Cup and presented weather in Melbourne.

A 10 spokesperson confirmed, “During her time with Network 10, Georgia Love made a valuable contribution as a freelance reporter.

“As with any casual position, the availability of work ebbs and flows with the requirements of the company.”

Love was presenting news at WIN News in Tasmania, before becoming The Bachelorette in 2016. She is engaged to winner Lee Elliott and both plan to wed this year.

She joined 10 News in 2017 following earlier work placement in her career.

Veteran news reader Mal Walden previously told TV Tonight, Love was the only person to seek him out as a mentor during his final 12 months with the network.

  1. I enjoyed watching her on our local WIN news, and she was one of the last local WIN news news anchors before we have a rolling roundabout of who happens to be free at recording time to present Tasmanian News From WIN headquarters with mispronunciation of town names and poor audio quality with interviews. It has become a joke so I rarely watch it now, I used to watch it every night but not now.
