Jack Vidgen eliminated from I’m a Celebrity

Former Australia's Got Talent winner is the first to be formally culled from 10 reality series.

‘Yass bitch…..’

Singer Jack Vidgen is the first cast member to be formally eliminated from I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here for 2021.

He was ejected through two challenges, losing to footballer Travis Varcoe and comedian Ash Williams.

With a pre-recorded season and no public voting producers are eliminating cast through two challenges: an all-in challenge where contestants had to estimate a walk of 200m, and a second test where three had to blindly guess the number of rats in a box.

Vidgen estimated just 10 of the 59 rats leading to him being ejected into a camp ‘swamp.’

The former Australia’s Got Talent winner managed to prove himself through tough trials including gruelling eating tests and a punishing ice challenge.

“I’ll never do it again but I’m glad I did it,” he said of a terrifying parachute jump. “That made me think I could do the trials.”

He also spoke about the difficulties of growing up in the spotlight and coming out to family and friends.

“It feels so special,” he said looking back on a highlights montage.

Two more names enter camp tonight, tipped to be former Goggleboxers Adam & Symon.

  1. I miss the camp tensions and politics when they live on rice and beans. The challenges this year are too easy and there are too many food rewards given. Lets hope we get back to normal hostilities next year…

  2. The best series of I’m A Celeb so far. Of course it would be better live but they have done so well to deliver such a great series with a completely new format. Last nights elim of Jack was the 4th highest rating elimination episode ever.

      1. I don’t agree. Nothing else is rating so that doesn’t stack up. I think you can blame that it is funny and very enjoyable for the big ratings.

  3. Well Jack certainly got ejected, but didn’t exactly look grubby when he climbed out of the dirty frog infested swamp. Ash being a comedian is a funny gag itself

  4. I was hoping Ash would go, for a comedian he’s not very funny and with some of the things he’s said about women, he clearly hasn’t heard of #metoo

  5. Sorry the Australian version really needs to be revamped it is not a touch on the UK version and this has nothing to do with the money they put in. Hopefully at least next year it goes back to live shows. I really dont mind what celebrities they put in.

      1. Can’t do a live elimination as this was all pre recorded last year. Theyre all out and many are posting their day to day updates on instagram and the like including them watching the series at home.
