In Denmark, a special unit is set up to fight cross border crime across Scandinavia and to establish operational links with similar teams around the world. In Copenhagen, charismatic detective Hallgrim Hallgrimsson (Jens Albinus) puts together a team of crimefighters equipped with the most advanced technology and high-tech weapons. Called ‘The Eagle’ for his unerring intuition, Hallgrimsson exudes competence and selfassurance, but behind the dynamic facade is a tormented personality. Hallgrimsson is a seeker. His travels throughout Scandinavia and continental Europe lead him not only to new dangers and deadly traps, but also to anguishing confrontations with his own past. He too makes many detours as he tries to elude his inner demons rather than battle them and to postpone the end of a journey that might hold nothing but emptiness and despair.  

Beowulf: Return To The Shieldlands
Based on an epic poem written more than 1,000 years ago, this fantasy drama is set in a fictional land where humans and creatures live a life of danger, excitement, and adventure. Fearless warrior Beowulf (Kieran Bew) returns to his home of Herot to make peace with his past. In search of a community to fight for, he soon becomes wrongly accused of murder. He makes a vow to find the true perpetrator and avenge the death of his fellow kinsmen. As he upholds the law and protects Herot from danger, Beowulf becomes the town’s tough but unconventional hero. With themes of power, revenge, greed, courage, and love, the heroes and villains struggle with their inner conflicts as well as their places within the wider community.
