What is Caro Meldrum-Hanna working on next?

After her compelling Ghost Train Fire investigation, ABC reporter is already plotting her next doco.

Exposed: The Ghost Train Fire took some two years for Caro Meldrum-Hanna to investigate. Her previous project Exposed: The Case of Keli Lane was a similarly long project.

“When I started this I also produced a 45 minute program for 7:30, an investigation into horseracing in 2019. We were undercover for 18 months.

“And then we started something else as we were getting too the end of this.”

But she’s not about to reveal her hand just yet.

“I’m not too sure what it is yet. I keep my cards close to my heart on what I really want to do,” she told TV Tonight.

“You see how the ducks line up. The bar is so high, but it’s a team effort.

“You want to make something with purpose. Particularly with something like this, when you’ve got the parents taking this journey with you. So many of these people have not spoken in decades, you have to have purpose. They need to feel at peace, relinquished from whatever burdens they were carrying. People who are finally given their confessions need to be empowered from it. There needs to be a purpose to it rather than just rehashing a terrible event.”

  1. She is fantastic and I hope she continues to give us more exposed for a long time! I loved Ghost Train i was literally gasping at some of the things that came out was must see TV. I hope they reopen the case.

  2. The Luna Park series was outstanding. Shame it hasn’t really captured much media attention that would result in a new inquiry.

Offset Alpine would be a good next series.

  3. So, there were some pretty big allegations made in that last ep of the ghost train doco. I’m truly stumped as to why no media other than the ABC has covered that story or aired them.

    1. Because other news shows are reporting the big stories, like the newest Tim Tam flavour, or how to make the switch to another electricity provider.
