Bill Maher tests positive to COVID-19
Fully-vaccinated host shows no symptoms, but filming halts as a precaution.
Filming of Real Time With Bill Maher has halted after Bill Maher tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the Hollywood Reporter he tested positive during weekly checks of the show’s staff, despite being fully-vaccinated, not showing any symptoms and reportedly “feels fine.”
“Real Time production has taken every precaution following COVID CDC guidelines,” HBO said in a statement. “No other staff or crew members have tested positive at this time. The show will be rescheduled at a later date.”
Maher’s show was the first talk show to bring back limited studio audiences and in studio guests, in September 2020.
Real Time With Bill Maher screens in Australia on FOX Showcase.
