Secret Bridesmaids’ Business secures international sales

Seven Studios miniseries Secret Bridesmaids’ Business has secured a raft of international sales.

Channel 4 in the UK, RTÉ in Ireland and TVNZ in New Zealand are among the international broadcasters to have picked up the series starring Abbie Cornish, Katie McGrath, Georgina Haig and Alexander England.

Deals have also been secured with SBS in Belgium, HRT in Croatia, Indonesia’s Mola TV, the Netherlands’ Talpa TV and TV4 in Sweden.

Based on a play by Elizabeth Coleman the series is also being adapted by the USA.

It will be known as Ties That Bind by writer Deirdre Shaw (Jane The Virgin) and produced by Keshet Studios and Universal Television.

Keren Shahar, Keshet International’s chief operating officer and president of distribution, said: “We are thrilled but not surprised to see Secret Bridesmaids’ Business being picked up by such a broad range of broadcast partners. This series has everything viewers are looking for right now – sassy female leads, gripping plot twists and lots of drama.”
