But with less than a week to go a deal with Southern Cross Broadcasting is yet to be finalised.
The new agreement with WIN is for a term of five years from 1 July 2021 for channels 10, 10 Bold and 10 Peach into Northern NSW.
Jarrod Villani, Chief Operating and Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President, ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand, said: “We are pleased to continue our relationship with WIN and renew the affiliate agreement for Northern NSW. WIN are a valued broadcast partner and we believe the outcome from these discussions collectively benefits both companies.”
Andrew Lancaster, Chief Executive Officer of WIN, said: “The continuation of Network 10 content on our channels in Northern NSW is a great win for our viewers who enjoy channels 10, 10 Bold and 10 Peach. We look forward to working with 10 over the next five years to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.”
The deal follows Nine’s affiliate plans with WIN for Tasmania, regional Western Australia, Victoria, Queensland and Southern NSW (Nine already has NBN in Northern NSW).
10 noted further affiliation agreements in other regionals areas are expected to be announced shortly.

For anybody wondering why WIN has had to sign with TEN in northern New South Wales rather than nine as they have in other parts of Australia, NBN (which in this case refers to Newcastle broadcasters) is owned by Channel 9. WIN were forced to sign with TEN in order to stay on air.
I know that WIN Will continue its 10 affiliate in NNSW & GC, however, will they get rid of the Snow channel on CH54 come Jul 1?
The Snow channel is an open narrowcasting license operated by a separate company WIN has nothing to do with that.
That’s not correct, WIN (NRTV) broadcasts the channel as a multichannel under their own broadcasting licence. It’s not a separate licence.
Got myself confused there was thinking about SMT48 In Jindabyne there’s nothing on channel 54 here In Mildura WIN did have a loop going with images of different parts or Australia with music but now it’s just showing black has been for a long time.
So I guess no deal has been reached yet for Mildura & other markets with joint venture stations.
I too am interested in this. I believe an eleventh hour deal was struck with the joint venture (Mildura DTV) I think…..the last time the affiliations changed a few years ago. It looked like Ch.10 was going to be lost. Hopefully level heads prevail this time. Apart from the Ch.9 reminder advertisements appearing on WIN currently, it has been very quiet. Mildura has always been a poor cousin since aggregation all those years ago.
Very true I remember when the WIN affiliation deal happened the channel which was broadcasting the 10 channel into Mildura went off air for about 5 hours due to technical work which needed to be done so It could broadcast cannel 9, Should be Interesting to see what happens In terms of the technical aspect & when It comes to the new WIN statewide news I wonder If Mildura will be Included a bit pointless really seeing that we have no WIN News crews In the region.
Without 10Shake we’re not getting the full package.
WIN substitute TEN’s Saturday night’s bingethon of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ on Peach with Colombo & Kojak.
The problem is they have been showing them continuously for about the last three years, but they only consists of season 1. Does anybody have seasons 2 on DVD that they can lend them?
Well, unless you’re in the North Coast/New England regions of NSW that will change in 7 days – to The Big Bang Theory 37th run.
Why is 10Shake not included they have the space ?!
Northern NSW don’t need to be burdened with 10Shake.
Better the braindead dross of Shake than the brainless spluttering of Sky.
