Danny voted out of Big Brother

The biggest player of the 2021 season has been sent packing, just days before the grand final.

Big Brother‘s biggest player this year, Danny Hayes, was voted out of the house last night.

He was sent packing after a vote with his key alliance partner, SJ, after 62 days of plotting, gameplay and doing deals with housemates.

But two challenges saw Christina nominate and Ari nominate Danny.

While Marley kept his word and voted SJ out, Christina and Ari finally voted Danny.

“I got outplayed by a 22-year-old and a 21-year-old who just smashed me all over the eviction room and I didn’t really see that coming,” said Danny. “I got blindsided. It was awesome, I’m so lucky to have had that experience. I think SJ will go and top three will be Ari, Marley and Christina,” he said.

Danny has been a producers’ dream with his scheming and determination, often resembling a reality villain, to make it to the final podium. But he later showed depth by forging an alliance with Marley, who had previously been a staunch competitor. This left some viewers divided on social media as to whether he should have stayed or gone.

Another housemate will go on Monday night before the Live grand final on Tuesday, which is now challenged by new Sydney restrictions.

Ari, Christina, Marley and SJ remain in the running for the $250,000 prize -worth turning up for no matter the border rules.

  1. This was the episode I’ve been craving all season to see. Danny’s narcissism really got under my skin and he sent a few of my favourite players packing. However in recent episodes he has shown more humility and sincerity so even I have to admit he was eventually worthy of a final place because he genuinely did outwit, outlast and outplay (!) everyone else the best. I’m still glad he’s been evicted though.

    Marley to win.

    Although would like to have SJ in final three and someone other than Marley to win, because it just seems a bit too obvious at this point. He hasn’t really done anything, just played in everyone else’s game. An honest game is a good game.. but a boring game in television.

  3. Marley for the win now. Danny was my favourite since the start. Danny saved Ari from elimination a while back, so it’s a great way for Ari to his appreciation for that.

  4. Marley for the win from here. Thats my hope anyways. Daniel i didn’t like him from the get go but before anyone comes at me, he played the game so well and i applaud him for that. Plus when he wanted to leave over Tilly, that changed my mind about who he is as a person. Before that i never really liked him. Should be an interesting final, whoever makes it.

  5. I’m not sure if I ended up liking Danny or not, but I’m glad he’s gone none the less. While I really liked SJ early on, my view on her has changed over time, mainly as I feel her time should have come to an end a few weeks ago, Danny’s too. Anyway, I hope she goes next. Marley should get the public vote if he makes top 3 and I think he’d be a fitting winner.

  6. He was great entertainment it would have been boring without him but I’m glad he won’t win if it had been live with the public evicting i think Danny would have been evicted much earlier and Melissa would have won

  7. The show would’ve been boring without Danny but I am glad he has gone. Can’t understand how people seem to forget it’s a game with a lot of money at stake. Why should Ari give up his hope of winning just to keep Danny and Tilly happy? Ridiculous. Danny made more false promises than anyone. But again, it’s all just a game. I would like to see Christina win myself. Think she has done a lot to stay in the game. Please please please no more tears !

  9. Very glad to see the outcome last night. Yes Danny was entertaining in a ‘J.R Ewing’ kinda way, but he was finally beaten at his own game. I wanted Sid to be in the final 3, but hopefully it will be SJ, Marley and Christina for the public vote. Marley for the win now….. Although i think SJ will be hugely popular with the public if she makes it through on Monday. Ari needs to go now.

    The only cast member I recall of the 2020 series is Angela. Can’t recall who won. I suspect Danny will be the most memorable of 2021, but I would not have liked to see him with 250,000 dollars.

    2. I was hoping Sid would make top 3 too. I agree, if SJ makes the top 3 she should could win it. Would be an interesting vote between Marley and SJ if they both make it. I’m not sure Ari or Christine would get enough votes up against those two, but you can never be sure about how the general public will vote.
