Renewed: Snowpiercer

Post-apocalyptic thriller back for a 4th season, before it wraps on Season 3.

Post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller Snowpiercer has been given an early renewal for a fourth season.

Starring Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Alison Wright and Sean Bean the series is just wrapping on season three.

Snowpiercer has been an incredibly successful series for us that continues to capture the imagination of viewers, grow audience and maintain strong ratings,” said Sam Linsky and Adrienne O’Riain, co-heads of scripted original programming for TBS, TNT and TruTV. “All of our seasons embark on an emotional, unexpected ride and the well-plotted storylines will continue to evolve and remain relevant to audiences. We’re excited to keep the train running into season four.”

Archie Panjabi and Chelsea Harris will join the series for the third season, and Mike O’Malley has been promoted to a series regular after recurring in the first two seasons.

Based on Bong Joon Ho’s 2013 film of the same name, and originally a French graphic novel Snowpiercer airs in Australia on Netflix.

    1. I’m sure CJ Entertainment will be looking at 7 seasons and the bean counters at Netflix will be influenced by the strong business link Netflix has with South Korean production companies. What the story will be like if they do make 7 seasons is anyone’s guess, I would imagine there would need to be a time shift at some point and Sean Bean wont be there at the end.

    2. Totally agree about the film. However, I thought season two of the series was much better than the first. I thought the casting of Sean Bean was excellent
