  1. This will be the 3rd straight year that I’ll be at someones house to watch the AFL GF Live. Unfortunately, his house does not have newer HDTV. (I believe his TV was more than 10 years old).
Nevertheless, I predict that around 600 000 Perth viewers will tune into watch the Grand Final.

  2. From this press release i understand it and assume that the game will be Live on 7Plus on all platforms. 7Network have exclusivity of the Grand Final otherwise they would not have been able to advertise that it would be on 7Plus, at all. The platform ie IPTVs is not an issue. as long as people can access 7Plus via an account which is needed now, if they have a pc, laptop, portable device or connect IPTV they should be fine. If only Seven had the online rights to regular season games for IPTV, but thats another matter. This will be the first GF without Bruce McAvaney. This is certainly a changing of the guard. Personally i would have had Basil instead of BT or JB.

    1. Did you read the article? “7plus on select connected TV, set top box and game console devices, including Telstra TV, Samsung Tizen (2016 and later), Fetch TV, Apple TV, PlayStation 4 and 5, Android TV/Google TV and LG TV”. That excludes mobiles, tablets, PCs and the Chromecast (except the latest model which has GTV).

  3. I still find it bizarre that in 2021 the only sporting event in the world you can’t watch live on a tablet/mobile/chromecast is the AFL Grand Final. I know this is beyond Seven’s control, but it still isn’t right.
