A high-profile “car crash” interview conducted by Australian reporter Jonathan Swan has won a News and Documentary Emmy Award in the US.
The 2020 interview with President Trump on Axios on HBO drew international headlines, and has now scored in the Outstanding Edited Interview category.
In the interview Swan, son of ABC’s Dr. Norman Swan, grilled the President over his pandemic policy, …. amongst other political things…
“I’m deeply honoured to have won this award, and grateful for the gifted, generous team who helped make the interview a great piece of journalism,” Swan told Guardian Australia.
