Celebrity Gogglebox a special, not a series.
Remain calm, potential celebrities, as Foxtel confirms more of its couch potato project.

Foxtel has now confirmed Celebrity Gogglebox will be a special in 2022 and not a series.
Attached as part of the first Gogglebox season in 2022, rumoured names include Alex Perry, Tim Campbell and Anthony Callea.
But it will be a one-off special for LifeStyle, not a full season (following the season final perhaps?).
Foxtel is currently casting with producers Endemol Shine Australia and Network 10.
“We had a very robust discussion on that this week,” Foxtel Executive Director of Television Brian Walsh told TV Tonight last week.
“It’s all about getting the chemistry right. It’s easy to go and pick names for the sake of names. Whether they’re going to give you the kind of television that you want, is another matter.”

Anthony and Tim must be on it. It’s a ratings no-brainer. Their antics during lockdown have been absolutely hilarious. They are the most genuinely funny couple. Just love them!
Now it makes more sense why it’s running in conjunction with the main series.
If I was a producer I’d want to get Beccy Cole and Libby O’Donovan on the couch. They’d be a hoot on the couch. Shame they live in SA so would most likely be overlooked.
