  1. The first episode was OK, the 2nd was rated better by UK critics. Grace got 7m viewer on ITV and is also on Britbox. It has been renewed for 3 eps in 2022, Russel Lewis (Endeavour) is working through the novels in order (18 published so far). S8 of Endeavour and S11 of Vera have aired in the UK and they haven’t been renewed and there have been hints that both may be finishing or at least abandoning full series so ITV are looking to the future with Grace. Seven’s promo looked hastily done and didn’t sell the show well, they also put in tons of ads. If it has a future as one of 72s mysteries that’s OK.

    1. … you’re spot on … even though this series was made for ITV in the UK so has breaks built into the program, 7 appears to be ignoring them and dropping breaks into really strange spots with alarming frequency that kills the flow of the show … bit of an own-goal there …

      1. The first episode was OK, UK critics rated the 2nd one better. Channel 7’s promo campaign was pretty hastily put together and didn’t really sell it well. Grace managed 7m on ITV and it’s also on Britbox. It’s by Russel Lewis (Lewis and Endeavour) and has been renewed for 3 eps in 2022. S8 of Endeavour and S11 of Vera have aired in the UK, neither has been renewed yet, and there have been hints that both maybe finishing or at least reducing eps so ITV is looking to the future with Grace. Not Dead Enough, Dead Man’s Footsteps, and Dead Tommorow are the novels for S2 (Lewis is following the novel order).
