New US series for Brett Tucker

Aussie to feature in a new dance dramedy being produced by FOX.

Aussie Brett Tucker has joined a new US dance dramedy The Big Leap to screen on FOX.

Written by Heldens and inspired by a UK reality format, The Big Leap is ‘a show-within-a-show that takes viewers on a journey of self-acceptance, body-positivity and empowerment at any age.’

The show revolves around a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck characters attempting to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show that builds to a live production of Swan Lake.

Tucker will have a recurring role as Linus, a hunky boom operator who works on the set and is a potential love interest for Julia (Teri Polo). The cast also includes Scott Foley, Simone Recanser, Piper Perabo and Anna Grace Barlow.

Tucker has recently appeared in Station 19 and previously The Americans, Mistresses, Neighbours and McLeod’s Daughters.

He also stars in 10’s upcoming local drama Lie With Me which premieres next week.

No word of an Australian broadcaster for The Big Leap as yet.
