Brooke chooses Darvid in Bachelorette finale

Heartbreak for runner-up Jamie-Lee Dayz, as Brooke makes a surprise decision in 10 finale.

The Bachelorette‘s Brooke Blurton last night chose Brisbane landscaper Darvid Garayeli in the season finale.

That left heartbreak for runner-up Jamie-Lee Dayz, who first met Brooke on a previous season.

The season final -historic for the first Indigenous and Bisexual Bachelorette– included friends (one of whom was Abbie Chatfield) grilling the final two participants, then final dates.

It was a helicopter ride with Jamie-Lee but a raunchy tantric yogi class with Darvid.

In the crucial climactic scene, Brooke said, “Darvid, from the moment I met you, I felt a lot of feelings. I felt calm, I felt trusting, I felt an instant connection and chemistry that I’ve never ever felt with anyone before. Darvid, I don’t know how to say this. You came in here and granted me three wishes, and I still have one left. Darvid, will you make me the happiest girl.”

Darvid replied: “I genuinely have known from the first moment I met you it was going to be the start of something special. I’ve completely fallen in love with you as you know. I want you to always feel loved and I want you to always feel supported.”

“I can’t believe I found my person,” he wrote on Instagram last night.

“When I entered this experience I can honestly say I had no idea what to expect, I’ve come out of this with my life partner and she’s so much more than I could have ever envisioned It’s been an absolute roller coaster to get to this point, 4 months of laughter, tears and endless FaceTimes. This is the beginning of a new chapter for both of us and I cant wait to move into our Melbourne abode. Thank you to everyone for the kind comments and a big shoutout to everyone I’ve leant on throughout this process.
Much love x”

While the season has not rated well for 10 in broadcast, it has improved with Total TV numbers and is announced to return in 2022.
