Production to begin on The Twelve for Foxtel

Sam Neill, Marta Dusseldorp, Brooke Satchwell, Kate Mulvany & Hazem Shammas to star in new courtroom drama coming in 2022.

Production will begin in Sydney next Tuesday on new 10 part crime drama series The Twelve for Foxtel.

Based on Belgian’s De Twaalf, it tells the story of 12 jurors who, whilst dealing with struggles of their own, must decide the case of a woman accused of killing a child.

A top-line cast includes Sam Neill, Marta Dusseldorp, Brooke Satchwell, Kate Mulvany and Hazem Shammas with further cast to be announced soon.

The series will be produced by Ian Collie, Rob Gibson and Ally Henville (Easy Tiger), and Executive Produced by Michael Brooks and Hamish Lewis (Warner Bros.) and Liz Watts (Spirit Pictures). Executive Producers for the Foxtel Group are Brian Walsh and Penny Win.

The Setup Director is Daniel Nettheim (The Tourist, Line of Duty, Doctor Who, Broadchurch) with writers Greg Waters (Script Producer), Sarah Walker, Brad Winters, Anchuli Felicia King, Leah Purcell and Tommy Murphy.

The Twelve, commissioned by the Foxtel Group, will be produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia in partnership with Easy Tiger with major production investment from Screen Australia in association with Foxtel. Financed with support from Screen NSW. The series will be distributed globally by Endeavor Content.
