Today team wraps after improved 2021

Today hosts Karl Stefanovic, Ally Langdon, Alex Cullen, Brooke Boney and Tim Davies have wrapped for 2021, set to return to screens in January 2022.

A summer line-up will host from next week, with a mixture of regular and new faces.

Today has lifted in 2021, with even the odd day pipping Sunrise in the 5 city metro numbers.

While Sunrise still wins the year Today is claiming it is “the only breakfast show to grow its audience year-on-year across the 5 City in Total People.” I hope that includes News Breakfast….

Nonetheless it was a hectic year with lockdowns and border closures, and even a network hacking, as it kept viewers informed.

Nine’s Director of Morning Television, Steven Burling, said: “It’s been a challenging year as the pandemic and repeated lockdowns have taken their toll on Australians of all ages. During this time of crisis more and more viewers have made Today their breakfast program of choice for their daily news updates, and some much-needed laughs along the way.
