Dylan Lewis has been named King of the ‘So-called Jungle’ by winning won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here 2022.
The former Recovery and current Double J host wins $100,000 for his chosen charity, Lifeline.
The final six were:
- Dylan Lewis
- Brooke McClymont
- Nathan Buckley
- Emily Seebohm
- David Subritzky
- Joey Essex
“I am surprised and I am elated. Everyone deserved to win but I’m just really happy I got to bring this one home for Lifeline. Thank you to everyone who voted and I love you,” said Lewis.
It’s the second time Lewis has won a celebrity reality show on 10 having won Celebrity Big Brother in 2002.
10 staged a Live finale from Carriageworks in Sydney tonight, hosted by Julia Morris & Dr. Chris Brown.
The finale wraps the second pre-recorded season filmed in Australia due to the pandemic, in which cast member Beau Ryan drew upon the title and quit the show. Across 4 weeks ITV Studios Australia again unnerved its cast with all manner of creepy crawlies, foul food and freakish heights.
The 8th season has given 10 a platform to promote its upcoming content and attract social media and showbiz headlines with candid star conversations.

I enjoyed this season and I’m pleased Dylan won and that Brooke was runner-up.
I don’t think the fake celebrity experiment really worked. David may have had some style and personality but he seemed to be trying too hard, acting outrageous while the real celebs seemed to unwind and open up. I believe one thing he said really showed him up as not really understanding the pressures of fame. When some of the celebs were sharing their paparazzi experiences, some of them very disturbing, his contribution was that people enjoyed looking at the photos.
The celebs were kind to him but they did criticise him for not pulling his weight with camp chores. I don’t think he really fitted in with the format and I hope they don’t do it next year.
Congratulations to Dylan! Very happy he won, although I would’ve been happy if Brooke won too because I liked them both. Absolutely loved this season of IACGMOOH. Can’t wait for next season and which celebrities sign up.
It was a really good cast, and a worthy winner. A heartfelt win.
Congratulations Dylan, but I found this season to be the worst Celebrity season? Hopefully, back in Africa next year, it will be better?
I was so happy for Dylan. You could see how much it meant to him. It wouldn’t have surprised me if Brooke won because she was good entertainment value in the ‘So called’ jungle! I enjoyed the finale, lucky for once they had so many ads that allowed me to keep checking on the tennis.
People actually watched this instead of the men’s singles Tennis finales?????
Yes. Not everyone watches the tennis.
Yes, not everyone is a tennis fan.
People actually use four superfluous question marks?
Congratulations Dylan Lewis! I’ve followed Dylan through Recovery, 10.30 Slot, Pepsi Chart and Video Hits. Winning it and supporting his charity meant so much to him. Will there be another season next year?
loved the sneaky ‘see you next year in africa’ at the end from chris.. very optimistic that we’re going to be able to travel in a year hahahha
also loved the sneak peek at would i lie to you – as someone from the uk the original was required viewing every night in my house so its fantastic to see an aussie version
and of course dylan extremely worthy winner although i must admit i was rooting for david just due to the jokes that would ensue
Would’ve been a bit awkward if David Subritzky won it
Congratulations Dylan! Both of the final two were worthy winners, although so happy to see him win!
The vote was really between Dylan and Poh anyways, and when Poh was ejected, Dylan was sure to win the competition.
Yay!!! He’s such a nice humble and caring guy and deserved to win. You’d be hard pressed to ever hear a bad word about him. Congratulations Dylan!
A worthy winner. So pleased for him.
