Filming halts due to several positive cases on 10 reality series.

Filming on MasterChef Australia has been forced to halt due to COVID impact.

A public challenge to be held last week was called off.

The Sunday Herald sun reports several members of the large production, some believed to be contestants, had contracted the virus.

“Shooting on the upcoming season of MasterChef Australia: Fans & Favourites has been temporarily suspended due to several positive Covid cases within the production. Our judges, cast and crew are fully vaccinated, and we look forward to resuming filming shortly,” an Endemol Shine Australia spokesperson said.

Filming is understood to be in the early weeks of the show’s run, due to screen after Easter.
