Poh Ling Yeow into 10 “jungle”

Updated: Beau Ryan and AFL's Nathan Buckley are also confirmed.

10 has confirmed MasterChef favourite and TV presenter Poh Ling Yeow is in the cast of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Rumours of former AFL coach Nathan Buckley were also confirmed in media reports at the weekend.

“I thought I might get bossy in the kitchen – and I did,” she told The Advertiser. “But look, if everyone can have good food why not (take over)? You really don’t want someone who’s never cooked and saying ‘well, I should give it a go tonight’. I was all “ah, no!’. When food is so scarce we have to make the best of the meals.

“I was very bossy and I’m not ashamed of it.”

Nathan Buckley meanwhile told the Sunday Herald Sun, “The network caught me in a pretty reflective space and with the massive changes that were happening in my life I was up for getting out of my comfort zone.

“I would never have imagined that I would do something like this given a million opportunities but I had the time and the space to do it so I took the leap.”

The cast this year includes “a Footy Coach, AFL Superstar, Famous Comedian, TV Host, International Reality TV Star, Country Singer, Olympic Legend, Celebrity Chef” ….and a mystery celebrity twist (could that be Bernard Tomic returning, given Julia Morris teased he has been requesting it?).

Update: Beau Ryan has also been confirmed by 10.

7:30pm Monday – Thursday on 10.

  1. The Celebrities should not be revealed before the show is broadcast there is no surprise if it’s already broadcast through the media the show should be broadcast live like it used to be

    1. The show was never really broadcast live, only the the parts with the hosts were live (as well as the reveal of celebrities doing the challenge) — Because of the time difference between South Africa and Australia, they were able to do the live bits at around 7:30-8:00pm (11:00am in SA) and still have enough time to film and edit before the next episode went to air the next night. If this was live in Australia, the timing would be out and wouldn’t produce the best viewing experience.

  2. I guessed that the chef was going to be Poh, so very happy I got that right. Also love Beau Ryan. Can’t wait to watch him in the jungle, especially in the Food Tucker Trials.
