Empire magazine artist Bill McConkey, a self-confessed lifetime viewer of Neighbours, recently crafted an illustration in dedication to the Aussie soap.
“I was understandably saddened to hear of its possible demise. So I thought I would create my own tribute with this illustration,” he wrote on social media.
“Made up of a 100 or so characters from the show, can you find Bouncer? #SaveNeighbours”
The detail is quite remarkable with lots of easily recognisable characters from the show, and more having been added at the request of fans.
In the centre is the Kennedy clan, while down the front you’ll spot Anne Haddy, Alan Dale, Vivean Gray, surrounded by current characters, past faces, a pooch, a pigeon, tuba, surfboard, motorbike, crossbow, and two blonde superstars getting married.
McConkey says he is happy for people to spread the image far and wide as an appreciation for the show and another way of people doing what they can to coax a British broadcaster to pick the series up.
