The NSW State Parole Authority has today “stood over” a parole decision for former Hey Dad! star, Robert Hughes.
“Given the complexities and seriousness of this matter, the SPA has called for a comprehensive psychological assessment of Hughes’ risk of sexual re-offending and a further report from Community Corrections,” it said in a statement.
“The SPA will hold a public review hearing on a date to be fixed before making a final decision on parole.”
Hughes, who has twice been denied parole, was found guilty of ten charges in 2014, including two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.
He is serving a sentence of 10 years and 9 months which expires 6 January 2025. A six-year non-parole sentence expired 6 April 2020.
Hughes has previously renounced his Australian citizenship and would face immediate deportation to his native UK upon release from custody.
